Yet another delightful island, Sebayur abounds in natural beauty both above and below the water. Beautiful beaches, clear warm water perfect for swimming and snorkelling, some lovely, short easy treks across the island and beachside accommodation with million dollar views are all part of the package.
Noted for its charming beachside bungalows and laid back atmosphere, the Komodo Resort & Diving Club has been a welcome and popular option for those wanting to experience an idyllic island retreat. As well as great hospitality, the resort has an open-sided bamboo style restaurant, beachside bar, gym, a quaint spa and world class dive centre, plus a full list of activities including liveaboard dive packages, excursions to neighboring islands including Komodo, Rinca and Padar, snorkelling, canoeing and much more. But it’s also the kind of place where you can do nothing much at all if you prefer, other than soaking up the sun and lazing in a hammock in between making the short stroll across the beach to cool off in the ocean.
Judging by the reviews we’ve seen, there is a lot to like about Sebayur. Though not a budget destination, the all-inclusive (accommodation, meals and basic activities) prices mean the resort is reasonably affordable for the average traveller.

Sebayur Island is located due west of Labuan Bajo. The boat trip to the island takes around 1.5 hours by local slow boat or 35-50 minutes by speedboat. Once daily slow boat transfers to and from the island are provided free of charge to resort guests. Private transfers can be arranged by the resort on request. Unfortunately, Sebayur is reserved for resort guests only so dropping in for a day trip isn’t possible,
Just to be clear, there are actually two Sebayur Islands, differentiated by their size. Sebayur Kecil (small) and Sebayur Besar (big). The resort is located at the southern end of Sebayur Besar, directly opposite its smaller cousin.
