A number of fees and charges are payable on entry to Komodo National Park. When we visited in 2014, fees for foreigners were:
- Park Entrance fee Rp 200,000
- Local Area Tax Rp 50,000
- Photo camera fee: Rp 50,000 (including phones with camera)
- Video camera fee: Rp 150,000
- Ranger/guide: Rp 80,000 (per group up to 5 people, expect to pay more for longer adventure treks)
- Snorkeling Fee Rp 60,000
- Diving Fee Rp 75,000
Entrance tickets are valid for three days. Most fees can be paid at the National Park office in Labuan Bajo prior to departure or upon arrival at the park offices located at Komodo or Rinca Islands. Some cruise operators include some or all of the fees in their rates, others don’t, so check what is and isn’t included prior to booking. All fees are payable in cash in Rupiah so be sure to carry enough with you.
